Are You Thinking of Watching Swan Song?
Short answer: You should. Long answer: If you do not, you are missing out.
The most I will say is that, yes, I’ve seen the movie in a private screening and it was absolutely brilliant! I left in total awe. I left the theater feeling so fragile, yet so strong.
Swan Song is a heartwrenching film. It isn’t marred by a real-life tragedy like the Titanic. It doesn’t show the blissfulness of ignorance like Forrest Gump. However, I do not say lightly that this film left a stain on my conscience that if I had the opportunity to remove it, I would refuse.
I would compare it to a more adult version of SOUL. Viewers will be faced with time, mortality, nostalgia, pain, and the meaning of love. They will laugh, cry and reminisce about the past. If you are not afraid of your emotions and mortality, this is the film to watch. Grab a box of tissues on December 17th, it will be showing on Apple TV+ and live in US theaters. You do not want to miss this!
